Field Day Fun!

 It was another successful day at Airport Park!  

A Guest Teacher!

Yesterday, Kieran's dad came in to teach physics.  Students made bug-o-copters and went home with special safety goggles!  It was the highlight of the day.   Thank you Mr. Phillips!

A Visit from Ms. Barnes Class

Last Thursday, Ms.Barnes' kindergarten class came down to our room to read to us.  Room 11 truly enjoyed listening to these up and coming readers!

MBS Guests

Today three students from MBS came in and explained what life is like in third grade.  These students did a great job sharing what MBS is like and answering students questions.

Special Guest!

On Wednesday, we had a visit from Eileen Christelow.  She is a wonderful author and illustrator.  The students truly enjoy listening to her stories!

Pilobolus

Today we ventured to the Flynn Theater to see Pilobolus.  It was a wonderful performance of people using their bodies to perform without words.  Room 11 truly enjoyed the show.  Please ask your child to share what he/she saw today!

Flynn Theater Fun!

Yesterday we had a representative from the Flynn Theater come to our classroom.  Her name was Heather and she showed us how to be choreographers and performers.  Everyone had so much fun!

Indoor Recess

We hope to play outside soon with short sleeve shirts!  We are tired of hats, mittens and boots!

Searching for non-fiction features!

Working with a partner, students spent part of reading workshop searching for non-fiction features in their books.  Students then needed to write the purpose of that feature.  As you can tell by the their faces they were very engaged.

Snack is one of our favorite times of the day!
