Welcome Back

The month of September flew by!  We have been SO busy in second grade learning routines, developing classroom expectations, practicing our school rules, learning to use our new individual materials, and starting second grade reading, writing, and math!

Look at these wonderful pictures Silas' mom sent me this morning! Last night with such beautiful weather his family went for an evening bike ride to check out the supermoon. When they got home they created sidewalk chalk designs. This is such a great idea!  Thank you!

Good Morning Patient Pupils,

Today is Friday and our special would be P.E.  Take this day to look at Mr. Wilkes blog.  He has videos' and challenges!  This morning I sent a note to your parents letting them know that I will send a link to video chat on Google Meet instead of zoom.  We are going to try it this morning to make sure you can access it.  If you do not make it this morning, do not worry, we will try again at another time.  I hope the sun comes out today I miss it.  Be kind and have great day!

Good Morning Super Stars,

Good Morning Happy Humans,

Today is Wednesday and our special would be library.  Check out Storyline Online and listen to a favorite story with someone in your family.  Today is also April Fools day and a good day to tell a joke.  What did the carpet say to the floor? (I've got you covered!)  I know, that was a really funny joke!  If you have time, find a good joke for me and take a picture of it.  Don't forget we are going to try a morning meeting on zoom at 9:00 a.m.  I can not wait to see your adorable faces and hear your voices.  Have a fun filled day!

Good Morning Kind Class,

Today is Monday and our special would be P.E.  I have attached the Baby Shark Ab challenge,  give it a try!  Next week school will start looking different.  Change is hard but I know we can do it!  This week you will continue to work on your learning packets and I will be learning a new online teaching tool that I will be sharing with you later in the week.  I miss you all and am also working on a way we can connect online.  Have a wonderful day and get outside before the rain.

Good Morning Super Students,

Today is Friday and our special would be P.E.  I have attached the squat challenge video for you to do.  See if you can get everyone in your house to try it.  Remember to squat low and make it count!  I have truly enjoyed the pictures of you all in your learning spaces, so today I have added a picture of me in my work space.  Annabelle has decided that she needs to be at my side every morning while I work.  She is a silly dog!  Have a wonderful day filled with fun and sun!

Good Morning Lovely Learners,

Today is Tuesday and our special would be music.  Make sure you take some time to sing and dance to a couple of your favorite songs.  It's a great day for a dance party!  Also, do a little reading, writing and math today and then get out and play in the snow.  It is perfect snow to make a snow person.  Please know I am missing you all very much.  Your parents are starting to send me pictures and I love them!  I will post them here so you can see what what your classmates are up to.  Have a kind day and I will write tomorrow!
