Addition with Carrying

This week Room 11 has been learning how to do two-digit addition with carrying.  First, I teach carrying with the base ten blocks so that students understand the concept of why we put the one in the tens place.  We have spent the whole week practicing with these blocks.  Next week, we will start doing two-digit addition with just paper and pencil.
