Second Grade Readers

One of my favorite things about second grade is when students read to the class.  Here we have two very proud readers!

                

Partner Reading

On Friday afternoon we practiced being good reading partners.  It was so exciting to see everyone engaged and enjoying each other.  I have such a wonderful class!  It is going to be a wonderful year!

Silent Reading

Room 11 has been working on reading stamina since the second week of school.  This is an amazing class, we are already up to fifteen minutes!  It is one of my favorite times of the day!

                      

Picture Day

This week we will be getting our pictures taken.  Please remind your child to bring their movie star smile on Thursday, September 17th!

UMS BBQ!

This is just a reminder that the UMS BBQ is this Wednesday from 5:30-7:00.  It should be a fun evening filled with good food and great families.  I hope to see you all there!
