These past two weeks Room 11 has been very busy reviewing classroom rules.  Here are a few pictures of what we consider to be SAFE, KIND and DOING OUR BEST.

Plants

This month we have started a unit on plants.  Students are learning the parts of a plant and their functions and what a plant needs to survive.  Ask your child what kind of seeds are planted in the cups.

Reading Buddies

Friday afternoon Room 11 joined Mrs Curkov's kindergarten class.  My wonderful second graders read a book to a kindergarten friend and then they colored bookmarks together.  I was very proud of my class.  They did a great job!

                      

                      

                      

                      

Measurement

This week we started a new unit in math.  It is all about measurement.  We started by measuring our partners height, their head size and shoe length to the nearest centimeter. 

 

                

                

                

D.A.R.E.

Officer Fontain has spent every Thursday in March teaching Room 11 about safety.  Students have learned a lot and have enjoyed his stories.
