MBS Form

Dear Room 11 Families,

This is just a reminder that the MBS input form needs to be completed by Friday, March 26th.

Below is the letter for your reference.

***********************************************************************************

Dear Families,

First of all, welcome to Malletts Bay School!  We are looking forward to meeting you and your child.

We understand this is a big transition for you and your child and want to make this process a

great experience!

We have already begun planning for the upcoming school year.  One of the most important parts of that

process is student placement.  We are working closely with the UMS and PPS teachers to help us create

eight balanced sections of third grade classrooms with a mix of children from each of the sending schools.

Although we do not take specific teacher requests in our placement process, we would love to get to know

your child through your eyes.  Please complete this family input form on or before March 26th. We will also share information from the form with your child’s new teacher.

Throughout the spring there will be opportunities for you and your child to become more familiar with

Malletts Bay School, including a virtual orientation for parents and caregivers in early May.  During the

orientation you’ll have a chance to meet us, ask questions, and learn more about third grade at Malletts Bay

School. Stay tuned for more details about the virtual orientation - we’ll be sending them out via school

messenger before the end of March.

Finally, every Sunday evening we send out a newsletter to MBS families titled, “The Osprey News.”

Beginning this Sunday, March 8th, we’ll start sending you a copy of the newsletter so that you can learn

more about what is happening at Malletts Bay School.

Again, welcome! Please feel free to contact Jeanne Brigante in our front office at 264-5900 and she will

help direct your questions.

 Sincerely,

Jordan Burke, Principal

Brooke King, Assistant Principal
